What i've learned through Happiness Project

The Failure in Finding the Right Design Solution
When we going to print out the wall stickers, we found that there's only A3size stickers available in the printing shop. Then we tried to print it out in different sizes to test the effect of the sizes of stickers.

The Struggles that We have Faced
We were feeling quite struggles when we found out the idea of urban gardening was not suitable for our project. Futhermore, due to all of the group members are from different hostels and everyone is busy for our own activities and events, it's difficult to meet up and do the project together.

The Teamwork Communication Breakdown
We definitely had arguments as all of us have different opinions and ideas. However, we tried to tolerate and understanding each others by giving some guiding and combination of our different ideas. Finally, we came up with a successful outcome.

The Management of The Team
We have separated our works into different parts. See Enn is good in planning and managing throughout the whole process of our project. She always reminds us when there's any procrastination occurred.
Michelle and PeiJun did their parts as well by designing for the post, logo, stickers and name card.
I had giving some ideas and suggestions when doing the prototype and mock up. And so, we did the prototype and other works together.

The Testing Process and The Choice of Prototype
We have tried to stick the stickers on different types of walls and we choose the orange wall which is almost the same with the wall found at our research area. We spotted to use orange wall as the background of our stickers' prototype.

The Turning Point of The Project
Firstly, our idea is Urban Gardening. We found out the idea couldn't work due to there's no people willing to help us for take care of the plants. Lastly, we changed our idea to redecorate the spotted area with wall stickers and wind chimes.

The Most Memorable in This Project
There are full of memorable things from the preparation for prototype, testing to the exhibition. This is our first time to using machine to punch the wood. And so, doing the wind chimes together with team members make me felt happy since there was full of joys and laughs. We even went to McDonalds to do prototype together! Furthermore, lots of failure when printed out the stickers since found that some stickers spoiled. We reprint and reprint the stickers again, and it's damn tired for us went to the printing shop for a lot of times. Even tired, but we enjoyed the process of produce this project because we gained a lot.

What's Fun About This Project and Most Importantly
We have chance to go around Georgetown city and have fun at there. Happiness project's not like other lecture class that make us feel boring and sleepy because we are able to learn new things through outdoor activities. What's most importantly is we get to understand more about the design process. Design is not merely expressing our ideas and concepts but we have to test it whether it's practical or not and i learnt that  mock up plays important roles in every design. And so, we feel exciting when set up for the exhibition and it's like showing our new born baby to public.

The Reason We Think Our Project Can Give Happiness to Georgetown
Wind chime will produce nice sound and it can relax our mind when we chilling at the research area. The wall stickers will bring happiness to public especially for the kids as it makes the wall looks fun and joyful. It will brings the kids to their imagination world too.

Lastly, i would like to say thank you to all my team members for this Georgetown Happiness Project. I learnt lots through this project since you all are always guiding me, giving me ideas and suggestions and so, i learnt that team work is very important to complete a work. Without your coopereation, our works doesn't complete successfully. And so, i would like to say sorry to all of you too due to some arguments of our own different ideas. But luckily, it doesn't spoil our relationship but increase our believing on each others.
Thank you so much. :)
